He has organised and hosted events for The Edinburgh International Science Festival, Comté UK, Harvey & Brockless and the World Cheese Awards, among others, with topics ranging from pairing cheese and fizz to the politics of raw milk and the science of cheese.
Beer and cheese matching is a particular specialism - Patrick has hosted numerous tastings at food festivals, pubs and restaurants extolling the beautiful harmony between hops and curds.
Patrick is an experienced judge at numerous food and drink awards, including the Great Taste Awards, The British Cheese Awards, The Great Yorkshire Show and the Great British Cheese Awards.
He is one of the 16 Super Jury judges at the World Cheese Awards and is the head judge of the annual Cheese Counter of the Year competition, sponsored by Le Gruyere.
